Drizzle extra honey or sprinkle brown sugar during the last 2 minutes for a glossy, caramelized finish.
Serve
Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy warm as a healthy side dish.
Notes
Cooking time in the air fryer depends on how thick you have cut your carrots. Also, if you like them a bit crunchier, cook for 8-10 minutes. For more tenderness, cook for an extra 2-3 minutes.
Space carrots well so that the hot air can circulate and cook evenly.
Always use a single layer for even roasting.
Use fresh herbs for added flavor.
Fresh rosemary or thyme enhances flavor without overpowering sweetness.
For smaller carrots, cooking time may be slightly less.
Can substitute maple syrup or brown sugar for different sweetness profiles.
To lower the carbs, use a sweetener like Erythritol or Monk Fruit.
Shake or toss halfway through cooking.
Adjust the cooking time based on the size of the carrots and the specific air fryer model.
Use parchment paper to prevent sticking, but ensure airflow is not blocked.
